Hello all– To continue with my new theme of adding some new life into the page, I bring to you another on-going feature. While this is nothing new by what I’ve seen from other blogs, it is definitely something I look forward to every week! I enjoyed reading other writers favorite things. Many items would range from an assortment of items. I will look at incorporating one each of the following: Running, Fashion/Style, and Inspiration. Another fun addition I look forward to writing about for the most popular day of the work week. Not only is it the end of another week and time for a break, but it’s that time for those long runs or races! So let’s get this first week of my favorites going!!
First up is one thing I just started using this last couple of weeks. The Endomondo Sports Tracker is a really cool app that I am now using for my outdoor runs. I was very impressed with the accuracy of the GPS and the features it offers. With this being my first season of running outdoors with my new Windows Phone 8, and wanted to see what else was out there that compared to the ever popular Runkeeper’s features. Check out their site and give it a try. Available on iOS, Android, and Windows Phone mobile operating systems.
One of my other favorite things is premium denim! You may have heard the terms, Raw Denim, and Selvage recently. You also may have seen jeans cuffed showing of the signature white stripe on the hem. I love the way they look!! They work for a classy look and a very contemporary look all based on how you make them work with your shirt and shoes. Something that excites me a lot about it is the company called Brave Star Selvage. They have launched a new Kickstarter that allows you the customer to pick out how you want your Selvage denim made!! And what makes it sweeter is the prices for this premium denim!! Check them out and try your own custom made pair of premium Selvage denim. Also check out RawrDenim for all things Selvage. For my inspiration piece this week, there is only one thing on my mind, BOSTON! Such a horrific event that occurred, but another thing that we witnessed is the running community and how incredibly strong it is!! Not just the running community but we as a nation coming together. I have my first race of the year coming up on Tuesday 4/23 and am so motivated to go run my heart out. On Tuesday I will be wearing the colors of the Boston Marathon in respect to the ULTIMATE of all marathons that will not be tarnished, but will come back so much stronger than ever before!!
